JAMAevidence is now available via the MSKCC library. This database helps users identify the best available evidence by providing guides to the systematic consideration of the validity, importance, and applicability of claims about the assessment of health problems and the outcomes of health care. This platform is designed to help clinicians make evidence-based healthcare decisions. It contains textbooks, tools, and forms useful to the critical appraisal process.

It includes 4 major components:

• Users’ Guides to the Medical Literature: A Manual for Evidence-Based Clinical Practice, 3rd Edition: The centerpiece of EBM theory on JAMAevidence. Chapters are complimented with Education Guide slide sets, audio summaries, calculators, and critical appraisal and information cycle worksheets.
• The Rational Clinical Examination: Evidence-Based Clinical Diagnosis: This text summarizes current evidence for clinical evaluation of a topic. It compiles evidence to make a diagnosis.
• JAMA Guide to Statistics and Methods: This text includes brief example-based summaries of common and new statistical and methodologic concepts to help clinicians understand and interpret statistics and methods reported in research articles and to determine relevancy for their clinical practice.
• Care at the Close of Life: Evidence and Experience: This resource offers expert guidance and carefully reviewed evidence on caring for patients at the end of life. It focuses on practical, real-world issues faced by primary care physicians and covers topics from communication issues to disease management to clinician self-care.
