MSK Library Progress Report — Hot Off the Press!

I am delighted to present to our readers and Library users our second Library Progress Report highlighting our activities for 2012 and 2013. This report is a celebration of our accomplishments and marks our progress over the last two years. We hope by sharing our story, it will spark interest for MSK staff to take a few moments to explore a new resource, service, or partner with us on a project where an information professional can help contribute to the team’s success.

If you want to learn more about the MSK Library or the services we provide, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Added to Library Collection: Cancer Stem Cells by MSK’s Dr. V.K. Rajasekhar!

Cancer Stem Cells, edited by Dr. Vinagolu K. Rajasekhar covers a wide range of topics in cancer stem cell biology, including the functional characteristics of cancer stem cells and how they’re generated, where they are localized, the means by which cancer stem cells can be targeted, and how cancer stem cells can be reprogrammed back to normal tissue stem cells. Kharas, have also contributed to chapters in the book.  Each chapter begins with a brief historical note and concept summary, followed by a description of the latest basic or clinical advance associated with the topic.  Cancer Stem Cells builds systematically from coverage of the basic research stage to an advanced research level, from clinical relevance to therapeutic potential, and will be a valuable resource for professionals in the fields of cancer research and stem cell biology.  Continue reading
