New database: JAMAevidence

JAMAevidence is now available via the MSKCC library. This database helps users identify the best available evidence by providing guides to the systematic consideration of the validity, importance, and applicability of claims about the assessment of health problems and the outcomes of health care. This platform is designed to help clinicians make evidence-based healthcare decisions. It contains textbooks, tools, and forms useful to the critical appraisal process.

It includes 4 major components:

New eBook – Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence-Based Practice: Model and Guidelines

The MSKCC library has a new eBook, entitled Johns Hopkins nursing evidence-based practice : Model and guidelines.

New topics and features in this third edition include tips for using the newly updated Johns Hopkins Nursing EBP model and guidelines, tips on seeking funding for the advancement of inter-professional collaboration and teamwork, and tools to guide the EBP process.

Explanation of the Practice question, Evidence, and Translation (PET) approach to EBP projects, overview of the Patient, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome (PICO) approach to EBP question development, and exemplars detailing real-world EBP experiences are also included.
