The updated 2023 Natural Products database includes more than 400 monographs and is updated monthly. Each monograph features scientific names, common names, botany or source, history, chemistry, uses and pharmacology, dosing, pregnancy/lactation, interactions, adverse reactions, toxicology, and references. A “Clinical Overview” box begins each monograph and summarizes use, dosing, contraindications, pregnancy/lactation, interaction, adverse reaction, and toxicology information.

The format provides health care professionals with a quick, up-to-date, objective assessment of the latest medical and scientific studies on numerous natural products, including medically active foods (nutraceuticals).
