Tips, Tricks & Tutorials: Logging in to the Library Web Site Without VPN
Did you know that you can access the full-text of MSKCC Library subscriptions from home, or anywhere else off-campus? Without VPN? All you have to do is Login! Click on the gold “Login” button in the upper right-hand corner of the main library web page.
Then enter your MSKCC username and your employee ID number (with four trailing zeros).
That’s it! You’ll be taken to the full-text of any of our eJournals, eBooks and other electronic content.
Cancer Research News: February 15 – March 1
- In an ABC health video, Dr. Richard Besser shares information from two recent studies about the safety of cell phone use. A study from the National Institute on Drug Abuse shows that 50 min. of cell phone use does correlate with increased brain metabolism. However, a 9 year study from the UK seems to indicate that cell phone use does not increase the risk of brain cancer.
