Join the MSK Library and JoVE, for Advancing Authorship: Library Series, March 29

Please join the MSK Library and JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) for the first in our series of special internal events Advancing Authorship, on Thursday, March 29!

Hear from MSK colleagues about their experiences translating work into video articles published with JoVE, and how you can too!

To learn more about the event and speakers, see the flyer here.

This event is geared toward early career scientists in particular, but we’re confident any MSK researcher interested in learning about this newer mode of publication, will gain something from this event. Please join us Thursday, March 29 at 1:00 pm in M-107!

Rockefeller University Library Holiday Schedule: Closed Starting 12/22, 5:00 pm

Due to ongoing construction of the new River Campus at Rockefeller it will be necessary to close Welch Hall (Library) to all users and visitors over the holiday break. Emergency exits will be blocked, making it unsafe and illegal for anyone to be in the building.

The building will officially close as of 5:00 pm Friday, December 22, and not re-open until 9:00 am Tuesday morning, January 2, 2018.

Annual IS Holiday Food, Coat and Toy Drive

Food, coat, and toy collection boxes are now available at the MSK Library (RRL), until Friday, December 15th.

There are five other MSK collection locations:

  • 633 3rd Avenue 2nd and 5th floors
  • telecom area in Memorial (MB38)
  • data centers at Lyndhurst and Monmouth

Please participate in any way that you can. All collected items will be distributed to organizations in Queens, Long Island and New Jersey.

If you prefer to make a financial donation, please see Cynthia Hutchinson (633/5th), Lisa Vreeland (MB38), Donna Gibson (RRL), Mercedes Vila (LDC/MDC) or Karmen Katz (633/2nd)—all funds will be used to buy food for the drive.

All non-perishable food is welcome—please check the dates to make sure that all food is healthy and usable. Coats should be new, or used but in good, wearable condition. And finally, toys should be new and unwrapped.

Alternatively, please consider giving to a charity of your choice.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtful participation and a very Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to all!
