EMBASE Enhancement


EMBASE has recently released an enhancement to improve the coverage of drug terminology in Emtree. Changes may affect how some explosion searches are executed, primarily in cases where high-level terms in the Emtree structure are used. Emtree in 2012 is divided into 14 facets, from Anatomical concepts to Types of article or study.

These are the facets in which most changes can be found:

  • Anatomical concepts
  • Biological functions
  • Diseases
  • Organisms
  • Procedures, parameters and devices
  • Psychological and psychiatric phenomena

Future Oncology Now Available

The Library has recently added Future Oncology to the collections. Published monthly by Future Medicine, the journal takes a forward-looking stance toward the scientific and clinical issues, together with the economic and policy issues in the field of cancer care. It includes news and views, literature awareness regarding new biomarkers, concise commentary and analysis, reports from the conference circuit and full review articles. Continue reading

Cell Metabolism is Now Available

The Library has recently added Cell Metabolism to the collections. The journal is published by Cell Press and has an impact factor of 18.07. The content is freely available online 12 months after publication.

You can access the journal from here, or through the MSKsearch search box from the Library’s Website.
