Journal of Hospital Infection Available

The library has recently subscribed to Journal of Hospital Infection. It is the official scientific publication of the Healthcare Infection Society. The journal seeks to promote collaboration between the many disciplines in infection control in different countries.

Journal of Hospital Infection has an impact factor of 3.393. Its 5-year impact factor is 3.411. 

Research areas include but are not limited to:

• Outbreak prevention in hospital or community settings
• Healthcare-associated infection surveillance
• Methods of prevention of healthcare-associated infection
• Prevention of infection in immunosuppressed patients
• Infection hazards associated with medical devices

2011 Journal Citation Report is Now Available

Journal Citation Reports 2010 Thomson Reuters has recently released the 2011 Journal Citation Reports (JCR).  JCR is an annual publication analyzing one year of citation data. It provides a variety of impact and influence metrics, including the Journal Impact Factor and Eigenfactor from the Thomson Reuters citation indexes.

The 2010 JCR features the largest-ever JCR with 10,677 journal listings in 232 disciplines; 2,552 publishers from 82 countries are represented. A total of 528 journals receive their first Journal Impact Factor in this latest JCR release.
