The Library has added a new eBook to the collection, called Perinatal Nursing. The fifth edition of this book is a comprehensive resource that offers “expert guidelines and best practices for the full range of patient care issues, from cultural practices and pregnancy complications to newborn assessments and nutrition.” This is an evidence-based text for perinatal and labor and delivery nursing.

New Open Access Journal: Intelligence-Based Medicine
MSK Library has added a new open access journal, entitled Intelligence-Based Medicine. The aim of this journal is to “create meaningful synergy between practicing clinicians and others (computer scientists, data scientists, engineers, cognitive scientists, entrepreneurs, etc) in deploying methods of artificial intelligence and human cognition in the practice of medicine and the delivery of healthcare.”
Various topics include the translation of emerging technologies into patient benefit, 3D printing, intelligence in healthcare, medical imaging, blockchain, embedded AI, decision support, precision medicine, robotic process automation, virtual and augmented reality, and ethics.

The Library has added a new journal title to the collection, Health Environments Research & Design (HERD)
. HERD features evidence-based, interdisciplinary research on “relationships among health and environmental design and organizational, provider, and patient outcomes.”
Major topics in this journal include healthcare innovations and design, industry challenges that affect patient outcomes, and enhancement of working conditions for healthcare professionals.
