Introducing the “New” MSKCC Library Blog: Time for a Change

On November 18 we launched our new blog, showcasing a two-column format with all the great content we continue to share since late 2009.  The biggest news is that now our blog site is responsive to your mobile device (iPad, iPhone, Android), allowing you to read on the go! We also took the time to clean up the Blog Archives which hosts our messages from 2011 to present.

Our blog continues to be institution-centric and not just focused on Library activities and news.  This was done with a strategic purpose in mind — to help Library staff “stay in the know” and enhance their knowledge about topics and happenings that impact the Center. This in turn helps them to deliver better research results in response to the myriad of user requests we receive daily looking for published information about cancer research, medical innovations, and subject-specific questions that support patient care.

Check out our blog categories (regular themes we write about) which include Blog Buzz, Cancer Research News, MSKCC in the News, Tech Zone, Working Together, First Impressions, Resource Highlights, Funding Opportunities & Resources, and Director’s Reflections. Each category has a publishing schedule for posts which ensures that our blog remains fresh and dynamic.  We also highlight the latest three posts on the Library Website and encourage our readers to follow our Twitter account where we push out links to all our posts (@MSKCC_Library).

For questions or comments regarding our new blog, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Library Blog, Editor-in-Chief, Christine Beardsley.

I am definitely excited about our new blog and hope that I have swayed you to add the MSKCC Library Blog to your reading list! You won’t be sorry you did!
