Three Questions – Lindsay

This month, I asked three questions to Lindsay Boyce, Research Informationist.

What areas can you help MSK users with?
As a Research Informationist, I am able to assist users with a variety of information needs. I conduct literature searches for both patient care and research questions, I provide assistance with EndNote and other citation management tools, and I work with systematic review teams create comprehensive search strategies. I am also the Clinical Medical Librarian for Critical Care, where I provide a variety of services to the staff in the ICU.

What projects have you been working on recently?
I recently co-authored a book chapter with our director and another Research Informationist on the Role of Informationists in Evidence Based Practice, where we detailed how we provide support and assistance for the nursing community as they conduct evidence based practice research. Nurses can use our PICO(T) form to request literature searches to aide in their EBP projects.

What is your favorite meal?
I’m a bit of a foodie, so picking a single favorite meal is tough. But I think the best meal I ever had was Lobster Newburg at Delmonico’s Steakhouse, because not only did Delmonico’s invent the dish in 1876, eating it at the oldest “restaurant” in the US makes it both a historical and culinary experience!
