Tech Zone: Start Walking Now!

In an effort to promote healthy habits, the American Heart Association has released a mobile app to encourage walking as part of your daily routine.  Walking Paths helps you create and find paths as you go and is now available for the Android, iPhone and iPad.

To find a path, search by location and specify your preferred type of path (Amusement Parks, Downtown, Parks & Recreation Trails, etc), difficulty level (Easy, Moderate, High), and path distance (Less than 1 mile, 1-3 miles, 3-6 miles, More than 6 miles). See Find a Walking Path for information on saving, syncing and managing your paths.

Download these and other apps by visiting the MSK Library’s Patients and Caregivers Selected Mobile Resources LibGuide.
