National Nurses Week is a time to celebrate and thank nurses for their hard work and commitment to providing the best in quality patient care. Formally recognized as National Nurses Day (May 6th) by the American Nurses Association in 1982, then National Nurses Week in 1990, every year the celebration begins on May 6 and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale.
Join MSK in celebrating our nurses. Events around campus include: Nurses Week Breakfast from 7am-10am in the West Dining Room on Monday, May 9th, The Rubin Awards at 8am in the RRL Auditorium on Wednesday, May 11th, and Thursday Night Dinner at 10pm on May 12th on the inpatient units.
The Library recognizes National Nurses week – a very special week! If you are an MSK nurse, visit our Library Web site, complete two quick questions focused on nursing resources, and become eligible to enter a drawing to win one of two certificates for a massage at Integrative Medicine! Good Luck!
