Videos Indexed in PubMed
Many PubMed users as well as many librarians, are not aware that “video” is a format that started being indexed in PubMed in 2003. Videos are being added to the database and are indexed under the Publication Type: Video-Audio Media. Currently, there are 2,122 references which are indexed under this Publication Type. - There is much discussion of proposed transparency rules (read the full text here) from The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding “financial relationships between drug and device manufacturers and certain health care providers.” The rule would implement the “Physician Payments Sunshine Act” requirements of the health reform law.
