Many PubMed users as well as many librarians, are not aware that “video” is a format that started being indexed in PubMed in 2003. Videos are being added to the database and are indexed under the Publication Type: Video-Audio Media. Currently, there are 2,122 references which are indexed under this Publication Type.   Here is a link to a video on hand washing from the New England Journal of Medicine, 2011: Videos in Clinical Medicine: Hand Hygiene.
