ORCID Now Integrated into eRA Commons Personal Profile Pages

According to a recent news release from the electronic Research Administration (eRA) at NIH, a new link to access ORCID.org has been added to the Personal Profile section of eRA Commons. Similar to how you can use ORCID@MSK to create/register your ORCID iD with the MSK Library and upload Synapse publications to your ORCID record, you can now add your ORCID iD to your eRA Commons account and link your ORCID publications to your grants. Take a look!

For help with eRA Commons, check out the eRA Commons Frequently Asked Questions.
For more information about ORCID and why you should obtain your unique ID, see our ORCID@MSK informational page.

Understanding OneSearch – Rockefeller and Weill Cornell eBooks and eJournals Search Option

The new OneSearch launching at the end of January (or sooner) will feature five search options (also called scopes).

The fifth option in the menu below called “Rockefeller and Weill Cornell eBooks and eJournals” will search the eBook and eJournal collections at Rockefeller and Weill Cornell. This search excludes all Library collections at MSK.

Why would you use this option?

If MSK Library does not own/license a particular eBook or eJournal, this search allows you to quickly find out if the specific ebook or ejournal you need can be accessed at Rockefeller or Weill Cornell. To use an e-resource from either of these libraries, you must do so from one of their public workstation.

Understanding OneSearch – Tri-Cat Search Option

The new OneSearch launching at the end of January (or sooner) will feature five search options (also called scopes).

The fourth option in the menu below called “Tri-Cat” searches the combined print and electronic collections of MSK Library and the print holdings at Weill Cornell Library and Rockefeller University Library.

Why would you use this option?

  • This search allows you to quickly see what print journal and book titles are held at Cornell and Rockefeller.
  • This option most resembles our old Tri-Cat search function.
