How an MSK Librarian Can be Your Most Valuable Resource

October is National Medical Librarians Month! The MSK Library staff is committed to serving our community in any way that improves patient care or facilitates research goals and activities. Below is a list of things a MSK Librarian can do for you (some items may surprise you!):

  • Offer a diverse set of training workshops ranging from PubMed and EndNote, to systematic reviews and tools for authors–did you know that customized individual or group/department-wide presentations can be requested? Just ask us!

New Scopus Interface Enhancements

Scopus recently updated their interface and has included some added functionality and enhancements. Most notably, users can now search for publications by an author’s ORCID number. Scopus has also greatly enhanced their analysis tools, making them more easily accessible across all areas of the Scopus database.

Three tools specifically have been improved and renamed and now include new features such as the option to export charts and graphs. Continue reading

List of Antineoplastic and other Hazardous Drugs, 2014

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has issued a newly updated list of hazardous and antineoplastic drugs. The 2014 version of the document is in the public domain and can be downloaded, reprinted, and shared freely. The document strives to prevent occupational exposure to antineoplastic and other hazardous drugs in the healthcare setting. Continue reading
