Library Staff Spotlight: Antonio DeRosa

The NY/NJ MLA Annual Chapter meeting was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.  Entitled “Batten Down the Hatches!  Safeguarding our Libraries and Responding to Disaster”, attendees listened to first-hand experiences from two of their colleagues regarding Hurricane Sandy Recovery.

In addition, the day would not have been complete without acknowledging members who give back to their association.  A welcomed suprise was received by Antonio DeRosa, MSKCC reference librarian who was honored at this meeting.

The Outstanding Achievement by a New Member Award is given to an individual that has been a member of the chapter for less than 5 years. The recipient of this award has shown excellence in participating in the chapter by serving on various committees, in official positions, or has contributed substantially to the overall success of the chapter.

Congratulations go out to Antonio on receiving this well-deserved award!
