“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”  – Hippocrates

The way your body performs depends on what you put into it. Nutrition.gov is a government resource that provides information on weight management, smart food choices, dietary supplements, and advice when shopping at the grocery store. Nutrition.gov is a trusted resource for consumers and health professionals alike, updating readers on the latest news in nutrition and health conditions associated with poor eating habits.  One of the most useful features of Nutrition.gov is the Life Stages link in the left column if the homepage.

Life Stages lays out nutritional information by sex and age group (or, your stage in life), and tells you what food and nutritional supplements are recommended for that group. The Life Stages also provide you with links to other helpful resources to both inform and help you reach weight loss or health goals. If you have set goals or are simply looking for specific nutrition information, Nutrition.gov is your credible online resource.
