Known as the Directory of Open Access Repositories, OpenDOAR serves to collect and list only sites that wholly embrace the concept of open access to full-text resources that are of use to researchers.
Among this compilation of websites are databases devoted to the open access publishing model and academic institutions that provide public access to copyright-free material online. With OpenDoar you can view lists of OA repositories by region (continent and country) or search for open access websites with the search option. Also, the OpenDOAR platform allows you to search repository contents. This is useful if you are conducting research on a topic and are not aware of which repository might contain the most relevant material for you.
