Resource Highlights: Science.gov

One of the most authoritiative spaces on the Internet for science and health information, science.gov offers selected websites, science news, and image libraries for public good and/or professional research purposes.

Users can search the government database with the search box at the top of the homepage or browse content by health topic at the bottom of the page. Science.gov brings you only information from trusted government sites so you can be sure you’re getting accurate and up to date results. Even the news portion of the web site is taken from trustworthy sources such as the National Science Foundation and the NIH News in Health.

A relatively new feature added to science.gov is the image library section. You can choose between several image galleries depending on the type of image desired. For instance, science.gov endorses image collections ranging from the USDA Plant Image Gallery to the NASA Image Exchange database. In the event you are unsure of which library will yield the proper result(s), you can also search across all the image databases by entering search terms into the search box above the list of different image collections.
