  • NCI’s Cancer Statistics Review was updated this morning with data through 2008 for 27 cancers. NCI’s Benchmarks blog for reporters features a helpful guide to finding information in the report.
  • Also from NCI, researchers have completed the whole exome sequencing of melanoma in a new study appearing early online  in Nature Genetics today.
  • GenomeWeb discusses some DNA Day celebrations on the web and beyond.
  • Lots of people around the web are talking about tomorrow’s National Healthcare Decisions Day which encourages individuals to “Have the Talk” about their wishes with loved ones. Here is one editorial.
