The NCI’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) has launched a challenge to inspire novel cross-disciplinary approaches to more fully decipher the genomic basis of breast cancer. The goal is to use innovative approaches to identify novel pathways involved in breast cancer susceptibility in order to generate new biological hypotheses. GWAS data sets will be made available and challenge participants may use any other publicly available data sets for the purposes of developing and applying methods for identification of the novel pathways.
For more information about the challenge’s goals, application, rules and due dates, visit the U4C website. A webinar will also be held on July 23rd from 1-2pm (ET) – register at Everything You Need to Know About NCI’s Up for a Challenge.
