- Never Trust a Corporation to do a Library’s Job piece on Medium outlines the changes in Google’s preservation mission over the years and highlights the work the Internet Archive has been doing. - Last week one of our colleagues moved on to an exciting new position at Rutgers. In celebration and thanks to Sarah Jewell, I’m happy to share her recently published poem which you can find here!
- Well deserved congratulations go out to METRO and their partners Queens Library and Brooklyn Public Library, whose project Culture in Transit was chosen as a Knight News Challenge winner. Here is an article from METRO’s site.
- Bloomberg reports that Twitter reached an agreement with Google that will allow tweets from the micro-blogging site to appear in Google results. More is available on this story at TechCrunch.
