Looking for toxicology reports or information on home cleaning products? TOXNET can help you find what you need from info on the carcinogenicity of chemicals to drugs and lacation. Brought to you from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the TOXNET database allows you to search several toxicology databases from one interface.
Use TOXNET when searching for both chemical and environmental health information. The various databases can be searched together or individually by choosing one from the box on the left hand side of the homepage. For a more targeted search, try using the individual databases instead of the broad, comprehensive search on the homepage. Hovering over a database in the “Select Databases” box gives you a brief description on the information it contains. There is also a FactSheet available for more detailed descriptions on each toxicology database housed by TOXNET. This FactSheet has tips for searching all of TOXNET as well as the individual databases to retrieve the most relevant results. Additionally, you can contact the professionals at TOXNET for more detailed information that you may be unable to find by searching the databases.
Another noteworthy tidbit about TOXNET is that there is a mobile version available for on-the-go access to trusted toxicology, chemical, and environmental health information.
