Resource Highlights: Womenshealth.gov

Aiding women who are breastfeeding, pregnant, or have female-specific diseases, womenshealth.gov offers trusted information from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health.

The rolling images on the homepage consist of new or important resources for women. Below these images, you will find the A-Z Health Topics list and the Publications list. One of the most useful topics for the MSK community is the Breast Cancer health topic. This section contains basic information on what breast cancer is, how to identify it, and what treatments are available.

The Publications section, however, is more useful in locating scholarly, or trusted, evaluated information for women. Useful for both consumers and researchers alike, womenshealth.gov serves up quality health information through a usable and intuitive interface. PDF’s and suggested articles on various women’s health topics are found in this section.
