SHARE recently interviewed MSKCC’s Dr. Norton.
As reported by Oncology Nurse Advisor, a curriculum being implemented by MSKCC and City of Hope (Duarte, California) will train nurses working with cancer patients who are transitioning from active treatment to survivorship care.
MarketWatch announced that as part of a national study on the effectiveness of copper as an anti-microbial surface, MSKCC was one of several US hospitals to temporarily install copper-coated equipment surfaces in some intensive care units.

Crain’s reported that MSKCC’s proposed Westchester cancer center plan was approved by the Public House and Planning Council.
Dr. Peter B. Bach of MSKCC was quoted in a New York Times article about a recent study published in Lancet that examines the rate of operations performed on Medicare recipients in the final year of life.
The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Brooklyn Infusion Center received the Award of Excellence in the 26th annual Modern Healthcare Design Awards.
