Building Replacement Nerves Using 3D Bioprinting Techniques

Researchers at Michigan Technological University are using a 3D bioprinter to make synthesized nerve tissue. Their work could be used to help regenerate damaged nerves for patients with spinal cord injuries. Check out this video to see the 3D bioprinter in action:

Calling All Men!!! Health Check: As September is coming to an end, this is a caring reminder to please go and get screened for Prostate Cancer!

The prostate is a gland found between your bladder and rectum, and helps make semen. Prostate cancer often develops without symptoms, but symptoms may include needing to urinate often and being unable to start or stop urinating. One of the best ways to screen for prostate cancer is a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Blood Test. Memorial Sloan Kettering recommends those at average risk for #prostatecancer have a #PSAbloodtest at around age 45. #HealthScreeningsMatter
