DMPTool at MSK

How the DMPTool Supports Researchers...

  • Makes the process of creating a data management plan simpler for researcher,
  • Provides usable templates such as NIH: Generic and NIH: Genomic Data Sharing,
  • Offers guidance on information and language to include in a data plan,
  • Connects researchers with data management specialists for personalized assistance,
  • Promotes the reuse of previous data management plans,
  • Encourages sharing plans easily with colleagues, institutions, funders, or publishers,
  • Assists the publication process by providing a simple means of transitioning a data management plan into a Data Availability Statement,
  • Highlights that data is an integral part of the research process which has a life and value up to publication and beyond.


Accessing the DMPTool

The DMPTool is integrated with MSK's identity management system so that you can log in with your MSK username and password. To access the DMPTool:

  1. Go to the DMPTool website
  2. Hover over 'Sign In" in the upper right and select 'Option 1: If your institution is affiliated with the DMPTool'
  3. Search for 'Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center' or MSK
  4. If you are a first-time user, you must create an account in the right panel using your MSK e-mail address
  5. If you are returning you will be able to sign in directly with your MSK credentials
