Embase is a comprehensive database covering international literature in the biomedical and pharmaceutical fields. Embase also has a feature that can be useful to users seeking help to identify studies that serve as the “best evidence” for answering their focused clinical question. The PICO search form (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) can help ensure the user has considered all components of their question!
If you want to learn more about PICO, feel free to Ask Us.
The Library (located in the Rockefeller Research Laboratories Building) will be closed on Monday, May 28th, 2018 in observance of Memorial Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018.
Please join the MSK Library in congratulating our Nursing community! Originally known as National Nurses Day (May 6th) and later as National Nurses Week, the American Nurses Association proudly honors our nurses across the nation while highlighting their extraordinary work and contributions to healthcare. This year’s theme is Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, Influence.
The MSK Library supports a number of campus-wide nursing programs such as the Nurse Residency Program and the Nursing Career Ladder (N-Care), as well as many other initiatives. Additionally, the Library provides access to databases supporting evidence-based practice like PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, Cochrane and Joanna Briggs.
