Access to the Library
The MSK Library is open to staff and students from the following institutions. Please be prepared to show your institutional ID card to the Library staff member on duty.

- Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)
- Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC)
- The Rockefeller University (RUL)
- Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS)
MSK patients, their families and caregivers are also welcome to use the Library and we recommend they check in with the Library staff member on duty. Other groups and individuals may be granted access upon request - contact Donna Gibson, Director of Library Services.
Borrowing Materials
MSK staff and students must be registered with the Library in order to borrow print materials - see Joining the Library. Users from our affiliate institutions (WCMC, RUL, HSS) must be registered with their home libraries in order to borrow print materials. Use of the Library
By entering the Library, users agree that:
- Computers are for work-related research only
- The Library is not responsible for personal items left unattended
- Library staff may ask you to give up the workstation if others are waiting
- Children are not allowed in the Library unless arrangements have been made in advance

You will be considerate of others by...
- Cleaning up after yourself;
- Keeping personal and cell phone conversations brief and at a low volume;
- Logging off of the workstation when you leave;
- NOT leaving personal items at a locked workstation for more than 10 minutes;
- NOT removing newspapers or paper sections from the Library
Items left at the Library are placed in the Lost & Found and dated. Due to space concerns, items will be donated or disposed of after six months. For storage devices, Library staff will open files in order to contact you. We are required to report improper storage of confidential information.
