Business as Usual! MSKCC Library Open During Construction
When will construction begin and how long will it last?
Facilities Design and Construction is preparing to replace the Main Entrance Stairs and Ramp for the Rockefeller Research Laboratories Building. This work will begin on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 6:00am. Access via the main entrance will not be available for about 4-5 weeks. Facilities will be posting signage throughout the building to direct traffic.
Since the RRL Main Entrance will be closed during construction, how do I get to the Library?
There are several alternate ways for accessing the RRL Building and the Library:
- Primary access via 66th Street Southwest Exit Doors will be available seven days a week from 7:30am to 8:00pm. The temporary street address for this entrance is 431 E 66th Street. A guard will be stationed to monitor and control foot traffic
- 24/7 access via the Tunnel connecting the basement of Haupt Outpatient Building (OPB) to RRL. Entrance can be accessed during working hours through the Haupt Entrance, or after hours through the Main Hospital Entrance
- Daily access on 66th via Parking Garage from 6:00am to 9:00pm
Is there another location where I can go to access the Library's collection or speak with a Reference Librarian?
To access the Library's electronic resources (ejournals, ebooks, and more), borrow a Laptop, or consult with a Reference Librarian, visit our CyberLibrary Cafe located in the Zuckerman Research Center (enter through the 69th Street lobby).
