New OvidSP Interface

New Search and Discovery Platform Now Available from Ovid

This new interface is now available for all Ovid databases the MSKCC Library subscribes to including Books@Ovid; Journals@Ovid; AMED (Allied and Complementary Medicine); CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature); HAPI (Health and Psychosocial Instruments); MEDLINE; and PsycINFO.

The OvidSP interface offers multiple search modes displayed in tabular format so that users can select a searching method that’s right for them.

Remember the Fulltext@MSK button located in your search results will take you to the full text article or to MSKCC Document Delivery Services, where you can request the reference.

Highlight of New Features:

  • Basic Search – allows you to enter query using everyday language and ranks results by relevancy
  • Find Citation – helpful when you need a quick match and already know at least part of a bibliographic citation
  • Search Tools – allows you to access specific tools, such as trees, permuted index, scope notes, explode, and more to find information
  • Search Fields – searches by specific field(s); such as abstracts, author name, and other criteria
  • Advanced Ovid Search - this mode supports boolean search terms and command searching
