The Library staff sends a special thank you to all MSKCC Library Users who participated in our in-house celebration of National Library Week.  Below are the recipients of the following three prizes outlined in our initial message:

Share a new idea for the Library and be eligible to win a prize!
The recipient for the "best" idea, receiving a CyberLibrary Cafe gift card is Juan Menendez, Research Animal Resource Center (RARC).   The suggestion was for each computer workstation to be equipped with personal head phones in order to listen to online training modules. Stay tuned, within the next few weeks we will be trialing this new suggestion.

Several individuals answered all five questions correctly on our Library Web site Scavenger Hunt. Hope Lafferty, Urology was selected from the pool of completed questionnaires and is the winner of a $50.00 gift card to Borders Book Stores.

2. You can find any Library staff member's email address by clicking on the top navigation bar --> About the Library --> Staff Directory 
3. To find out about the classes the Library offers -- visit our Class Registration page. Take a moment to sign up for the class that interests you!
4. Quick Links (located on the Library Web site as well as every interior page) will take you to the following most frequently used resources: PubMed, Ovid Databases, UpToDate, MDConsult, New England Journal of Medicine, Cancer, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature, Harrison's Online, and Cancer: Principles & Practice of Oncology. The resource that is currently NOT on this list is SCOPUS.
5. Latest News located in the lower portion of the left navigation bar is the perfect way to stay up-to-date with new Library resources, happenings, and special events. Past messages can be found in the What's New Archives.

Guess How Many MSKCC Articles were Published in 2006?
Dan Chiappetta, Pathology was the lucky winner of this contest and received a $50.00 gift card to Barnes & Noble.  In 2006, 1,133 articles were published.  This number was determined by the reference staff. They searched BIOSIS Previews, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Scopus for original research articles and removed any duplicates.  To learn more about searching by author or by subject, please contact any member of the reference staff or complete Ask a Librarian.
