Drs. Elizabeth Schulman and Juliana Eng recently partnered with Antonio DeRosa, the newest member on the Reference team, to develop an online resource guide and tool to deliver customized training content to the medicine housestaff. By incorporating Web 2.0 technologies, this group now has an opportunity to access an array of orientation materials, selected articles and PowerPoint slides, and other education resources on their own or as a group, at times that are convenient for them. Recently Sarah Jewell, reference librarian worked with Elizabeth A. Quigley, MD, a general dermatologist focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin cancers from our Basking Ridge location. Dr. Quigley led a small team in submitting a systematic review for publication in the “Journal of General Internal Medicine.” You might wonder how Sarah could support and contribute to this publication. Lymphedema Task Force
When the Lymphedema Task Force realized they needed evidence-based literature, Marisol Hernandez was the first person to come to mind. Marisol, a Senior Reference Librarian at MSKCC and an expert searcher, was recently invited to join the Lymphedema Task Force, a committee of nurses and other allied health professionals seeking to improve the guidelines on arm precautions after sentinel lymph node biopsies.
